The Family - Scott, Payton and Rachael
This is my family…well, almost. I need an updated picture with our son and our little dog Roxy. Here is a little bit about me. I met my wife when I was 12 years old and she has been chasing me ever since! Actually, our families were friends and we did not start dating until the end of my Freshman year of College at the University of Georgia. While in college we spent two years apart travelling the world. Rachael spent one year on the worlds oldest sailing ship and largest floating bookstore in the world. She boarded in Africa, Departed in Australia, and stopped in almost every country in between. Once Rachael arrived home I departed to China where I spent one year abroad studying the Language and Culuture of the Chinese People. While in China I was fortunate to have travelled throughout Asia and to have gained a valuable life experience with lasting friendships. Needless to say our family LOVES to travel and to experience the world.
Two things that people find interesting about me and usually do not believe are that I speak Chinese and that I played basketball at the University of Georgia. Basketball is another passion of mine. I lived on the basketball court growing up and had the opportunity to play at UGA under Jim Harrick. Coach Harrick allowed my dream of playing college basketball and of making it to the NCAA tournament to come true, and I am forever grateful to him for believing in me and giving me that opportunity. I have some great stories from those days. Ask me sometime about my first meeting with Coach Harrick as it was a good one!
Rachael and I married right out of College in 2002, moved back to our hometown of Johns Creek, and began working in the area. I began working with State Farm Insurance while Rachael became a Nanny and Photographers assistant. After a few years Rachael obtained her Real Estate License and began to pursue Residential Real Estate on a Full Time basis. With a knowledge of the area and a passion for helping people she quickly became a Top Producing agent at RE/MAX Greater Atlanta. A few years later, and with Rachael pregnant with our first child, I decided to make a career change and pursue Residential Real Estate as well. I joined RE/MAX Greater Atlanta in 2007 and have worked diligently to grown my business year upon year. Last year we sold more than $15 Million in Volume while racking up 44 Transaction Sides qualifying us in the Top 25 in RE/MAX of Georgia. I have qualified each year in the Business for the Million Dollar Club, RE/MAX 100% Club, and Top Producing Team in the Company. I specialize in representing Buyers and Sellers, and have also worked to specialize in representing Seller’s who in a Short Sale position.
